- 3 LRSSB is not a regulatory body and compliance with this guidance document is not mandatory. This document reflects good practice and is advisory only. Users are recommended to evaluate this guidance against their own arrangements in a structured and systematic way, noting that parts of this guidance may not be appropriate to their operations. It is recommended that this process of evaluation and any subsequent decision to adopt (or not adopt) elements of this guidance should be documented. Compliance with any or all of the contents herein, is entirely at an organisation’s own discretion.
- Light Rail Good Practice (LRGP)
- 3 This Guide is intended to reflect good practice and is advisory only, LRSSB acknowledges that individual Tram Operators have their own processes in place. This guide should provide a template for Light Rail Operators to view their current processes alongside. The extent to which a receiving organisation chooses to comply with any or all of its contents is entirely at its own discretion. These will focus on processes/procedures which differentiates them from the guidance documents.
- Light Rail Technical Note (LRTN)
- 3 A technical note is a short article giving a brief description of a specific development, technique, or procedure, or it may describe a modification of an existing technique, procedure, or device. These will cover R&D projects, and it may be that as part of the project one of these documents are produced using the findings, so for example trial reports.
- Light Rail Safety Tool (LRST)
- 3 This tool has been developed by LRSSB as an optional method or template to carry out a specific task set out in our Light Rail Group Standards (LRS), these can be used in development, repair, or enhancement.
- Annual Reports
- 3 The LRSSB publishes an annual report each year detailing the previous business planning years’ significant achievements, activities and performance.
